Noritake China

I'm running very late today! I took all these photos last week, so that I'd have plenty of time to prepare my post. Alas, I'm an excellent procrastinator and am only just now getting around to this. "Tomorrow is another day" is my most favorite motto-- Lol-- I think I've watched GWTW one too many times!

This week I'm sharing a Noritake cup and saucer set. It's a very pretty white color with a teal bamboo design. The pattern is called "Oriental".

The interior of the cup is plain white, while the rim is trimmed in gold.

I like the double gold trim on the handle.

Noritake China is made in Japan. In the photo below, you can see the backstamp.

This cup and saucer is part of a much larger set. Here, in these next two photos, are a couple of glimpses at some of the other pieces in this line of china.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

P.S. In case anyone is trying to contact me: For whatever reason, I'm currently unable to access my Yahoo email (thattagirl76). Each time I try to log in, Yahoo gives me a security question. The problem is, I don't remember selecting this particular question, so I have no idea as to the answer. I've tried to contact Yahoo via their online form, but again, I have to answer this question first-- with the correct answer b/c if I don't, the form won't go through. So crazy! I hate to give up this email, but I guess I'll be without a choice :)

Mad Tea Party!

Welcome one, welcome all to my very mad tea party!

Time's ticking, time's ticking! Time for tea, time for tea!

Please take a seat and choose your tea cup!

Full size or petite tea cup? The choice is yours!

Forgot your pearls? One must always wear pearls to tea! No need to fret! There's always an extra strand here or there!

But wait! Wherever is the Mad Hatter? One can't have a mad tea party without the Mad Hatter.

There he is! I spy him already at the table! However did he sneak in???

Yummy little sandwiches. They're the perfect size for tea time.

Banana nut muffins!

Melt in your mouth brownies! And strawberries, too!

Don't be shy... have as many helpings as you'd like! Alice seems to want more!

Thanks so much for coming to my Mad Tea Party! I hope you enjoyed yourself. Many thanks to our Mad Tea Party hostess, Vanessa at A Fanciful Twist, for having this event! Please visit her page for more Mad Partiers!

Unmarked Tea Cup and Saucer

Hello and welcome! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! It rained last week, from Thursday thru Sunday, but that didn't stop the fireworks. This week is a complete contrast to the end of last week: lots of sunshine yesterday and today. It's smouldering hot outside right now, but I'm not complaining. I love the sun and its accompanying heat!

This week I'm sharing this sweet, little tea cup and saucer set.

It's a little smaller than a normal tea cup, but not small enough to be labelled petite. The colors are more vibrant in person than in these photographs.

Oops! Someone didn't pull the aqua color all the way down on this panel. The tea cup has three little feet with a dash of gold on each one.

I want to say this is a Chinoiserie pattern, but I'm not 100% sure. It's very shiny. Neither the cup nor saucer are marked, so I don't know who the maker may be. I'm leaning toward "made in Japan".
